Abstract: High quality material data is of increasing importance when one tries to reduce costs through simulation-driven and virtual product development. Especially in the current global situation, reducing costs by using predictive methods has become essential. To produce accurate simulation results, it is necessary to have high-quality nonlinear material data, which represents well the actual material behavior across the multi-physics disciplines. I’m very happy to have such a strong partner for testing materials in DatapointLabs, who is able to provide a comprehensive range of tests and deliver high quality material data.

Marian Bulla

Marian Bulla has studied mechanical engineering in Iserlohn and at the RWTH Aachen. In his professional activities at Fraunhofer, Forschungsgesellschaft Kraftfahrwesen, PuZ and Imperia, he has gained extensive experience in computer crash simulation and in experimental research. Since 2008 he has been working as a specialist in crash and occupant simulation at Altair Engineering GmbH. He is the developer of /FAIL/BiQuad and co-developer of /FAIL/TAB1 failure models used in Altair Radioss software.
